Yesterday Trump was praising Zelenskyy – Just a day ago, on February 27, Trump was singing Zelenskyy’s praises, calling him a “great guy” during initial White House pleasantries, a stark contrast to today’s blowup.
Zelensky met with Senators – Earlier today, Zelenskyy huddled with a bipartisan group of U.S. Senators, discussing military aid, peace efforts, and his upcoming Trump meeting, aiming to shore up support before the Oval Office clash.
The meeting with Trump went terribly – What started as a minerals deal discussion turned into a shouting match—Trump accused Zelenskyy of disrespect and risking World War III, ending talks abruptly with no deal signed and Zelenskyy storming out.
Leaders of EVERY European country expressed solidarity with Zelenskyy, except Orbán – From Poland’s Tusk to Germany’s Merz and Spain’s Sánchez, European leaders rallied behind Zelenskyy post-meeting, slamming Trump’s stance—Hungary’s Viktor Orbán was the lone holdout, praising Trump instead.
